Best Western The Lagoon Opens in Manado, Sulawesi
Manado (Indonesia) – April 21, 2017 (travelindex) – Best Western Hotels and Resorts has unveiled its first ever property in Manado, the scuba diving and snorkeling paradise on the northern tip of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The new Best Western The Lagoon Hotel opened its doors on April 1, 2017. The hotel overlooks the beautiful Bay of Manado and island of Manado Tua, and is surrounded by lush, jungle-clad hills.
It is also close to Manado’s main commercial and entertainment areas and is just a 45 minute drive from the city’s Sam Ratulangi International Airport, making it perfectly located for all travelers visiting this up-and-coming city.
Manado is popular for its breath-taking marine environment, especially Bunaken National Park, which lies in the “Coral Triangle” and is home to thousands of colorful marine species. This makes it a superb destination for scuba diving and snorkeling, to the extent that Manado has been identified as one of Indonesia’s best dive spots.
Back on land, visitors can enjoy a wealth of adventures, including volcano trekking tours, white water rafting and visits to Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve.
A modern midscale property, Best Western The Lagoon Hotel provides a collection of 187 contemporary rooms, all equipped with comfortable beds, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, mini-bars and other amenities.
Guests can enjoy local and international cuisines at the hotel’s restaurant, unwind in the spa, work out in the fitness center, or take a plunge in the outdoor swimming pool. Best Western The Lagoon Hotel also features extensive conference and banqueting space including a large ballroom, making it an ideal venue for corporate functions and social events of all sizes.
“As the capital city of North Sulawesi province, Manado is a regional hub for trade and commerce, while its stunning marine environment has made it a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists seeking an idyllic and exotic dive spot,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s Managing Director of International Operations – Asia
“This makes Manado an incredibly desirable destination, and we are delighted to enter the market with Best Western The Lagoon Hotel – an impressive hotel that belies its midscale status with a wealth of amenities and facilities for both business and leisure travellers.”
“We look forward to welcoming guests to Manado, and Best Western will continue to expand our collection of comfortable, convenient and well-connected hotels all across Indonesia in the coming months and years,” Olivier added.
Best Western now operates 15 hotels across Indonesia, including locations in Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Solo, Batam, Bandung, Makassar, Malang, Palu, and now, Manado. Best Western The Lagoon Hotel becomes the company’s second property on the island of Sulawesi following Best Western Plus Makassar Beach.
